Management and Occupancy Review: Coming Soon to a State Near You!

Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) are a crucial part of HUD’s reviews of the administration of multifamily properties. Per HUD notification, owners/agents in the 42 states that have not had an MOR in almost 5 years can anticipate a MOR being scheduled soon.

Below average and unsatisfactory MOR ratings may result in HUD placing a “flag” on the Owner’s and the Management Agent’s HUD-2530 (Previous Participation), which is considered a critical finding of noncompliance with HUD regulations. Making your property and resident files MOR-ready presents a challenge.

Attending this presentation by our expert speaker Andrea Champine will put you on the right path to ensuring your property is MOR-ready.  This session will provide you with information that you need to avoid common MOR findings and provide you with confidence to achieve a good rating. You’ll also get a summary of common MOR findings along with tips to cure those findings prior to an MOR.

Plus, review a listing of HUD-required documents that are required for each resident file and get a chart identifying HUD’s MOR rating system.

Session Highlights:

In this insightful program, you’ll learn the importance of:

  • Avoiding a 2530 “flag”
  • Knowing what reviewing officials look for during an MOR and what events can trigger an MOR
  • Properly maintaining resident files
  • Providing complete and thorough Desk Review documentation
  • Making sure your property and common areas are ready for an MOR
