1,000s of fair housing complaints are filed each year-don't let your property be a victim

Register now for this 75-minute webinar in which our expert speaker, Andrea Champine, will provide the answers and tools you need to ensure your policies and practices meet fair housing requirements. This information-packed session is designed to give you an extensive review of compliance pitfalls.

Fair housing laws have been in place for more than 40 years, but thousands of discriminatory complaints are still filed each year. And more than half of those are based on disability. What common fair housing mistakes are you and your staff falling for?

In this program, you will learn to:

  • Understand the fair housing protected categories and applicable definitions
  • Avoid common reasonable accommodation missteps
  • Know the difference between service animals and companion animals
  • Recognize FHA-prohibited practices
  • Ensure that your own policies and/or practices abide by the law

This presentation is appropriate for property owners, apartment community personnel (including Residential Managers, Leasing Consultants, and Maintenance Technicians), compliance personnel, Section 504 coordinators, service coordinators, and regional property supervisors.

After attending this webinar, you and your staff will be well equipped to comply with fair housing and reasonable accommodation requests. Plus, you'll get answers to common fair housing questions-with essential insights from reference documents, regulation language, case studies, and from-the-field tips.
