Don’t Shut Yourself Out of The Pet-Friendly Market

Did you know that 68% of U.S. households own a pet, including renters? If you’re restricting pet ownership in your rental units, you’re shutting out a vast majority of potential residents. Of course, animals do sometimes bring trouble—but even if you don’t allow pets, you must reasonably accommodate disability-related assistance animals.

The good news is that it is possible to both welcome animals and protect your property’s interests. Learn how in this information-packed webinar by housing expert Jo Becker in which she’ll cover key issues such as breed bans, general liability risk, pet allergies, and fair housing issues.

Becker will show you how to establish appropriate policies that address critical issues such as property damage and noise disturbances. Learn what’s reasonable—and what’s not—and what factors you must consider when drafting animal rules that protect property and keep the peace.

After attending this instructive session, you will be ready to unleash new, thoughtful, reasonable, and realistic “paw-licies.” And you’ll be particularly prepared to address issues related to service and assistance animals. Becker will arm you with concrete ideas, sample verbiage, and real-world considerations to help you review, revise, and craft your own effective apartment rules.
