Spot (and cure)your missteps before reviewers do!

Register now for this 75-minute audio session in which our expert speaker, Andrea Champine, will teach you to correct your operational and management deficiencies before MOR reviewers uncover them.

HUD relies on Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) to identify operational deficiencies in multifamily housing programs. And an MOR rating of “Below Average” or “Unsatisfactory” often results in a HUD “flag”—a critical finding of noncompliance. But readying your property and resident files for an MOR—which can include evaluation of everything from project operations and property condition to income, assets, liabilities, and contracts—is a tremendous challenge for even the most diligent agencies/owners.

In this how-to session, you’ll learn to:

  • Avoid a 2530 “flag” (i.e., noncompliance)
  • Recognize what reviewing officials look for
  • Recognize what events trigger an MOR
  • Properly maintain resident files
  • Provide complete and thorough Desk Review documentation
  • Ensure your property and common areas are ready for an MOR
  • Prepare your policies, procedures and specific HUD approvals for your next MOR

This presentation is appropriate for owners/agents of multifamily properties, as will regional property supervisors, residential managers, occupancy specialists, leasing personnel, and compliance personnel.

After attending this audio event, you will be equipped to recognize common MOR findings and to cure those findings prior to an MOR. You will receive an agenda to assist with identifying resident file errors, a checklist of HUD-required documents for each resident file, and a chart clarifying HUD’s MOR rating system.
