Get Grant Funding Through the New Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

States are beginning to implement the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), a new federal law that governs the public workforce system. It is the first update to the nation’s employment system since the late 1990’s. The reauthorization makes sweeping changes to the way the 26 federal grant making agencies give out money. The new WIOA too has made sector training a requirement for states. These are training programs that promise good jobs without college degrees, with many new initiatives popping up too.

Going after money is hard work; in fact, it's probably the hardest part of any grant-seeker's job. Grant-seekers must be willing to go hat-in-hand when seeking funding, and they have to be able to show why their organization -- as opposed to somebody else's -- deserves to be funded. That means they have to make the organization as attractive as possible to potential donors. They also need the knowledge and training to meet the new requirements of the law: all that takes funding.

This webinar with expert speaker Frank Klimko is not just meant to inform you and update you on what’s trending, it will also provide a working knowledge of WIOA and skills that you can use to out-muscle the competition to receive grant funding authorized through the new employment law. There are plenty of opportunities out there: the giving universe includes more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations registered in the United States. This webinar will provide you the right tools and a special session to shake that money tree.
