Register now for this 75-minute session in which our expert speaker, Andrea Champine, will reveal what questions to ask when income qualifying a prospective Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) resident—and how to implement the most restrictive income calculation method for your property.

Chapter 4 of the 8823 Guide covers one of the most critical IRS rules in the LIHTC world: ensuring income eligibility at move-in. Is your management team prepared to sidestep the many potential non-compliance issues each and every time they qualify a new tenant?

In this informative program, you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize the types of income that are considered excluded

  • Handle anticipated income changes
  • Use the correct effective dates
  • Manage unit transfers
  • Perform due diligence to ensure income eligibility

This presentation is appropriate for owners/agents of tax credit properties, regional property supervisors, residential managers, occupancy specialists, leasing personnel, and compliance personnel.

After attending this event, you will have the know-how to ensure that your files are audit-ready. This program will answer tricky income-related questions, provide real-world scenarios of potential non-compliance issues, disclose common calculation errors, and provide a summary of excluded income types. A question and answer session will follow the main presentation.
