Preparing your Property for a MOR Inspection to Avoid Common Findings and Achieve Good Ratings.

Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) are required to ensure that HUD’s multifamily housing programs are administered as intended by identifying the deficiencies to eliminate fraud, waste and mismanagement. As per recent HUD notification, Owners/Agents in the 42 states that have not had an MOR for almost 5 years can anticipate an MOR being scheduled soon. Don’t panic! Attending this presentation will put you on the right path to ensuring your property is MOR-ready.

Below Average and Unsatisfactory MOR ratings may result in HUD placing a “flag” on the Owner’s and the Management Agent’s HUD-2530 (Previous Participation), which is considered a critical finding of noncompliance with HUD regulations. Making your property and resident files MOR-ready can definitely present a challenge.

This presentation by expert speaker Andrea Champine will provide you with all the information you need to avoid common MOR findings and provide you with confidence to achieve a good rating. Andrea ChampineANDREA CHAMPINE has 24 year's experience in the affordable housing industry-15 of which she spent working for a privately owned management company and 9 years for a city housing agency in the State of Michigan. For many years she was Director of Compliance for HUD, LIHTC, USDA - RD515, HOME, Housing Choice Voucher and PHA Programs. In addition to this title, she held the role of Fair Housing Officer, overseeing the supervision of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing compliance. Ms. Champine is currently Compliance Analyst at U.S. Housing Consultants. She has an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts, is a licensed Realtor, and is Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing and Tax Credit certified.
