Industry experts claim a "silver tsunami" is headed your way. Prepare now for continual waves of baby boomers or you could be caught in the riptide when the tsunami hits.

Consider this: 10,000 people turned 65 every day in 2011 and will continue to do so until at least 2030, leaving one out of every five U.S. citizen aged 65 or older, according to the Alliance for Aging Research.

Unfortunately, that aging population will also be riddled with health and financial problems that will leave them reliant on housing programs and other federal subsidies, the Alliance notes.
